Stunning Wood burning cooker for all sized kitchens

Ludlow Stoves Ltd

Contemporary, traditional, large or small and perfectly formed we have it covered with our large range of wood burning cookers and stoves. The Chilli Penguins are made in Wales, the Dean Forge Bakers oven and made in Devon and the La Nordica range are all made in Italy. Supporting British and local is so important, even more now during this pandemic.

The La Nordica Rosa XXL wood burning cooker is a larger Italian all rounder with a very large oven with 80l capacity, hot plates and fire box. Whether heating your home or using the cooking facilities, this model compliments any traditional space or country kitchen.

The Esse Ironheart Multifuel / Wood Burning Cooker burns logs beautifully and cooks to perfection. Essentially the Esse Ironheart cooking stove makes the most of the two things Esse does best – an inspired combination of a superb log burning stove and a traditional cast iron range cooker.
The Esse Ironheart solid fuel cooker was launched in 2004 to celebrate 150 years of ESSE Cookers and Stoves by embodying the quintessential features of both product types and remains a best seller. The Esse Ironheart is the stove designed for cooking and when River Cottage wanted a stove, this was a natural choice.
The Esse Ironheart wood burner has a firebox that has been specifically designed to burn 500mm logs lengthways, which it does in a spectacular fashion providing a splendid view of the flames through a large rectangular glass fire door. As the heat source for the oven and hotplates, the Esse Ironheart is highly controllable, thanks to simple but effective primary and secondary air flow controls. The secondary control provides an airwash which keeps the door glass clear.
The compact Dartmoor Baker 5 (5kw nominal output) has a good size oven and three shelf heights.
The Dartmoor Baker’s have oven vents which allow the cooking smells and condensation to be drawn out of the oven and up the chimney. If you would like to use the top of the stove to warm a pan or boil a kettle then the use of the back flue outlet is recommended when installing the stove.

This penguin is the love child of the Penguin 8 and the Hungry Penguin.
What doesn’t it have? It gives you heat, it gives you food, it gives you hot drinks, it has somewhere to store your logs and it’s got a glorious big window to watch your fire burning. When the world disappoints you, it will be waiting for you at home. This penguin will work for it’s living: it can multi task, it’s strong, it’s hot, it’s got muscle and it cooks. If you love this penguin it will love you back.
The “88” is an 8kW stove with an oven box on the top and an integral plinth underneath. There are convection panels on both sides. There is an optional stainless steel top plate. There is a model available without the plinth: the “88 Shorty”.

Whatever you are looking for we have it covered.
