GLINT Variation is the collection of unique ceramic pieces realised by Ceramiche Refin together with QUAYOLA, as the last stage of the path undertaken with the artist within the REFIN DTS - Daring Art Explorations project, curated by Valentino Catricalà and to be renewed annually with internationally renowned artists.
The collection is composed of sculptural pieces in porcelain stoneware, a pure expression of the technical and material contamination between the artist and the Refin laboratory.
The research path for the development of the Glint ceramic variation was complex and extremely challenging. The real challenge for Refin was to succeed in reproducing on the surface of porcelain stoneware a structure that would recreate the geometry developed by Quayola to represent the ripples of water. To do this, a special ceramic mould was designed to press a structure in bas-relief.
Thus was born a collection of sculptural porcelain stoneware pieces in 30x30cm and 30x60cm sizes with a thickness of 20mm, with black glazed surface and edges.
Glint Variation 30x30cm is composed of 4 different subjects and can be included in interior design projects as a composition of art pieces or to create scenic full-wall coverings.
Glint Variation 30x60 is instead a single subject, offered as a single art piece produced in a limited edition of 99 pieces and delivered with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
