Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi Unveils ‘A Luminescent Dreamscape’ for Holidays
Festive season at Vietnam’s most storied hotel includes exclusive dining experiences and more
HANOI, Vietnam (2025) – Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, the iconic 124-year-old Grand Dame of Hanoi, is transforming into “A Luminescent Dreamscape” ahead of the holiday season, as a million lights and shimmering festive spirit blend seamlessly with the hotel’s timeless elegance.
Festive scenes and breathtaking displays will pair with culinary offerings imbued with French sophistication and festive flair – experiences that lift the spirits and evoke warmth, nostalgia, wonder, togetherness and the enduring charm of the holiday season. For the first time ever, the Metropole Christmas Fair, held from Nov. 28-30, will offer a joyful celebration featuring Metropole-made specialties alongside local vendors presenting holiday handicrafts, gifts, decorations and more. Sweet delights, eggnog, mulled wine and gourmet bites from the grill and charcuterie stations add to the experience.
The fair kicks off with the annual lighting ceremony on Nov. 28, officially launching the 2025 festive season. In keeping with tradition, a distinctive 15-meter-tall Christmas tree gracing Le Balcon will feature many lights and ornaments, bringing timeless French sophistication and joie de vivre to the heart of the hotel.
Throughout the festive season, Metropole will host memorable dining experiences at its contemporary French fine-dining restaurant Le Beaulieu; at Le Club Bar, home to the hotel’s famed brasserie menu, afternoon tea and evening jass; at angelina, Hanoi’s bespoke cocktail bar, whisky lounge and restaurant; and at Spice Garden, the elevated Vietnamese restaurant.
Christmas Eve: Four spectacular Christmas Eve dinners are on offer on Dec. 24, including an extravagant buffet dinner at Le Club Bar accompanied by live jazz performances, while the other restaurants present 6-course Christmas tasting menus reflecting the special character of each venue.
Christmas Day: On Dec. 25, the hotel will host a very special festive brunch and a series of celebratory dinners, highlighted by a Pan-Asian buffet dinner at Spice Garden and a special à la carte selection at angelina throughout the day.
New Year’s Eve: Gala dinners and countdown parties will set the stage as the world prepares to usher in 2026. This includes a bespoke countdown party at angelina, as well as a spectacular late-night celebration with live music by the pool and at the Bamboo Bar.
New Year’s Day (Jan. 1, 2026): The culinary team kicks off the new year with Le Beaulieu’s celebrated New Year’s day brunch – a true indulgence featuring oysters and shellfish on ice, a gourmet à la carte menu and signature dishes prepared to order, such as côte de boeuf, flambé lobster bisque and smoked salmon.
Following an extensive redesign, L’Epicerie returns with an elegant, Parisian-inspired shopping experience. Its shelves brim with Metropole hampers and festive specialties including premium turkey, the signature Haute Croissanterie, cakes, patisseries and assorted chocolates. The delicatessen section offers curated selections of imported delicacies, from exquisite caviar and artisanal French cheese to fine wines, champagnes and more. The Bûche de Noël stands as both a true French symbol of holiday cheer and is L’Epicerie’s Christmas pièce de résistance.
