The average US vehicle dispenses 98lbs of CO2 per 100mi, and over time, the average consumer will drive almost that much during the entire span of their purchasing research. Customer transportation accounts for over 50% of CO2 emissions in a retail sale. With online retailing, even the emissions from the delivery trucks are still lower than average emissions from customers transporting to and from retail outlets. The drop-ship model that ATG Stores uses allows for lower costs than retail outlets as the product is shipped straight from the manufacturer instead of shipping to us and then us shipping it again to you, avoiding double shipping costs.
ATG Stores has started to take their meetings online in an effort to cut down on wasteful flights. The average short flight gives off 500lbs of CO2, average medium flight gives off 1,250lbs of CO2, and the average long flight gives off 2,000lbs of CO2. ATG Stores uses GoToMeeting to visually meet with manufacturers across the country without leaving the office. This eliminates unnecessary cost and CO2 emissions while keeping employees in the office removing travel time out of the equation and allowing them to always be connected at work. With this, ATG Stores has prevented thousands of pounds of CO2 output while still accomplishing our goals.
With over 3,000,000 products, we offer a selection that you can’t find in any retail store. We offer photos of the different varieties, colors, and styles that aren’t often shown in stores. Many manufacturers have started to provide videos that show the product and it’s function in great detail. Another main service that we offer is our Manufacturer Report Card.
