Starting on the Trim

Sep 4, 2010 Posted Under: Home Improvement World

I woke up feeling somewhat energetic (I’ve been exhausted through the first 16 weeks of this pregnancy), so I skipped my morning shower and put on my ugly Ghostbusters Video Game t-shirt. You know what that means…

It’s time to start painting the trim. First up: finishing the kitchen.

Child safety: Is there an app for that?

Sep 4, 2010 Posted Under: Home Improvement World

There’s an app for everything. There are even apps for apps.

Using a smart phone like the iPhone — which offer various applications, or “apps” — has been growing quickly in popularity in recent years. Nearly 50 percent more kids ages 6-11 were using cell phones in 2009 than in 2004, and 27 percent of teens use their phones to go online, according to CommonSenseMedia.org, a media watchdog site.

Build A Solar Panel The Right Way

However, many consumers are beginning to learn they can approach this as a DIY project and get solar power for a fraction of what it would normally cost.

Sell or rent my Arizona house?

Aug 31, 2010 Posted Under: Home Improvement Guide

Hi, I have a home in Arizona in an area that is still developing as far as streets, shopping, etc. I need to move and I have someone who wants to rent my house for 2 years. Should I rent (after background checks, etc.)? I will have negative rental income. Or should I try to sell it? I bought the home brand new two years ago and if I sell, I will come out just about even. The only improvements I have spent money on is backyard landscaping and indoor paint. Thanks for your input! I go back and forth on what I want to do. It is 1500 square feet and has upgrades mostly in the kitchen and flooring. It is pretty nice (in my opinion).
